Stability AI just released SDXL 1.0, its next iteration in Gen AI text-to-image generation models and challenger to Midjourney, DALL-E, Adobe Firefly, and others.
It claims to have better artwork for challenging concepts and styles, be more intelligent with simpler language, be the largest open image model, and enable better fine-tuning and advanced control. In my own anecdotal, non-scientific test, Midjourney produces better results for me, but new entrants into the space continue to benefit the whole Gen AI capability and be better for us end users.
